UTIL_GetEnv

Returns: The value of an environment variable.


Declaration 
define external stream function UTIL_GetEnv
     (  value string VarName  )


Purpose

This function is used to retrieve the value of an environment variable. If the environment variable is not set, UTIL_GetEnv returns a zero-length string.

Example: 

  ; display the current path
  include "omutil.xin"
  process
     output "Path = " || UTIL_GetEnv("Path") || "%n"
