Return type: Switch

Returns: Returns true if the I/O Protocol library is compatible with the current version of OmniMark. It returns false if this version of the library is designed for a newer version of OmniMark.


Declaration

define external switch function IOProtocolIsVersionCompatible


Purpose

This function is used to determine if the version of I/O protocol is compatible with the version of OmniMark in use.

Example:

  do unless IOProtocolIsVersionCompatible
     put #error "IOProtocol library is not compatible with this version of OmniMark"
     halt with 1
  done
