Argument definitions

path

The directory to be created.

on-dir

A connected vfs.directory object. If this parameter is specified, the path parameter is interpreted relative to the vfs.directory and must be expressed as a relative URL.

You can use vfs.make-directory to create a new directory under an existing directory.

This program adds a directory to the omnimark\projects directory.

  import "omvfs.xmd" prefixed by vfs.

    vfs.make-directory "c:\omnimark\projects\vfstest"

Note that vfs.make-directory will only create one level of directory at a time. The above program will fail if the directory c:\omnimark\projects does not exist.

Exceptions

The following exceptions may occur:

• VFS001 The requested function is not supported for the type of connection
• VFS004 The specified name 'X' exceeds system length limits
• VFS100 The vfsDir object must be connected before it can be used
• VFS111 The URL 'X' contains invalid encoding
• VFS300 Generic operating system error
• VFS307 The path 'X' exists
