unanchored |
Syntax
matches unanchored pattern or match unanchored pattern
You can use the unanchored
pattern modifier to indicate that a pattern is to be matched anywhere in the scanned source, rather than only at the beginning of the scanned source:
do scan "Mary had a little lamb" match unanchored "little" done
unanchored
can only be use in a match
alternative or matches
test. It is not supported in find
, take
, or drop
patterns.
The use of unanchored
is deprecated in favor of the pattern any**
, which works in all pattern expressions:
process submit "Mary had a little lamb" find any** "little"
