  Hold the space modulator by the <a href="gloss.htm#content-handle">handle</a>. 
  Make sure the <a href="gloss.htm#content-laser doohicky">laser
  doohicky</a> is facing away from you.<p>

  Put your finger on the <a 
  href="gloss.htm#content-trigger">trigger</a>.  Aim the 
  <a href="gloss.htm#content-laser doohicky">laser doohicky</a>
  at the rabbit.  Pull on the
  <a href="gloss.htm#content-trigger">trigger</a>.<p>

  If nothing happened, blame the engineer and have him read
  <a href="chap-2.htm">Chapter 2, Setting up the Modulator</a>. 
  If he's drunk, have your manager read
  <a href="chap-1.htm">Chapter 1, Executive Overview</a>, and 
  then fire the engineer.<p>

  If it worked, go clean up the rabbit parts.
