function

TCPConnectionSignalSourceEnd

Library: TCP/IP client and server support (OMTCP) original
Include: omtcp.xin

Declaration

  define external function TCPConnectionSignalSourceEnd
        value TCPConnection this-TCPConnection
  as TCPConnectionSignalSourceEnd

Purpose

When this function is performed on a TCP connection from which an external source is derived, then a subsequent read from that source returns end-of-input.

TCPConnectionSignalSourceEnd does nothing if the TCP connection object has no external source derived from it. Likewise, it does nothing if the TCP connection object is already signaled by SourceEnd, closed, or never connected.

Argument:

Example

  global TCPConnection TCP-Conn
  find "</html>"
     TCPConnectionSignalSourceEnd TCP-Conn

  find any-text => x
     output "%g(x)"

  process
set TCP-Conn to TCPConnectionOpen on "localhost: at 5300"
     submit TCPConnectionGetSource TCP-Conn
