Returns: FTP connection OMX component.


Declaration

define external FTPConnection function FTPConnectionOpen
           server     value string server
           user       value string username optional initial {"anonymous"}
           password   value string password optional initial {"anon@anonymous"}
           account    value string account optional initial {""}

Argument definitions

server
is the machine on which the FTP server resides
username
is the username you wish to use to log into that server (this has a default value of "anonymous")
password
is the password you're using to log into the FTP server (this has a default value of "anon@anonymous").
account
is an account name.


Purpose

This function establishes a connection with an FTP server, and returns an FTP connection OMX component.

To use this function, you must include the following line near the start of your program:


  include "omftp.xin"

Example:


  ; open a connection and check for errors
  set MyCon to FTPConnectionOpen server "foo"
                                 user   "bar"
                                 password "baz"
