Returns: An external output object.

                 file   value string remote-filename

Argument definitions

this-FTPConnection
is an OMX component of type FTPConnection
remote-filename
is the name you want the file to have on the FTP server.


Purpose

This is an external string sink function used to send data to a remote file on an FTP server. The FTP connection is locked during the lifetime of the output object. The error inquiry functions, and the close method are allowed.

To use this function, you must include the following line near the start of your program:


  include "omftp.xin"

Examples:


  ; send a file to the server
  set FTPConnectionRemoteOutputFile MyCon file "test.out" to
      file "testfile1.txt"

  ; send data to a file on the FTP server using a stream attachment
  
  using output as as FTPConnectionRemoteOutputFile MyCon file "test2.out"
   do
     output date "=xD/=xM/=xY:" || "%n"
     output "this data is going into the remote file%n"
     output "here's some more data for the file%n"
   done
