Return type: String Returns:        Returns the adjusted date/time in "YYYYMMDDhhmmss+ZHZM" format.

Declaration

  define stream function ymdhms-adjust-time-zone value stream ymdhms
                                           to-be value stream new-zone

This function takes a date/time and a time zone, returning the date/time adjusted to the given time zone. The returned date/time is also in the "YYYYMMDDhhmmss+ZHZM" format.

Arguments:

• "ymdhms" -- a date/time in the normalized 19-character "YYYYMMDDhhmmss+ZHZM" format.
• "new-zone" -- the time zone to which you want the date/time adjusted in "+hhmm" format.

Example:

  include "omdate.xin"
  process
    local stream new-time
    set new-time to ymdhms-adjust-time-zone "19980416154929+0500" to-be "+0600"
    output "Adjusted time with new time zone offset = " || new-time || "%n"
  ; Result of this program:
  ;   Adjusted time with new time zone offset = 19980416164929+0600
