Declaration

  define external function ldapOpen
                value stream  host
       port     value integer port     optional
       user     value stream  user     optional
       password value stream  password optional
  where
host
The host you want to connect to.
port
The port number you want to connect to.
user
The userid you want to use to connect to the LDAP server. If not specified, the userid 'anonymous' will be used.
password
The password you use to connect to the LDAP server. If not specified, the password will be blank.


Purpose

The ldapOpen function opens a connection to an LDAP server.

In this example, a connection to an LDAP server is opened and then immediately terminated:

          include "omldap.xin"

          process
             local ldapConnection my-ldap
             set my-ldap to ldapOpen "www.omnimark.com"
             ldapClose my-ldap
