Developing Web Services using Microsoft.NET

A 2 day advanced course designed to show developers how to incorporate latest XML technologies into their applications, including SOAP, WSDL and using .Net technologies

Overview

Web Services are increasingly being developed to provide efficient online services using XML technologies. .NET is a major technology used for developing many online applications. It contains many features that make it ideal working with XML and related technologies. As a result .NET has presented itself as a platform for online services that are based on XML standards: Web Services.This course is designed for the experienced .NET developer who is seeking to incorporate XML into their work so as to improve the integration of data into .NET applications.

Objectives

On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Be familiar with developing and deploying Web Services
  • Understand the key technologies involved in Web Services
  • Understand how to develop and deploy .NET Web Services

Prerequisites

Delegates should be experienced with .NET development, in particular ASP.NET. A good grasp of XML and related technologies/concepts will also be required. It would also be useful for delegates to have an understanding of the basics of Web Services, which can be gained from attending our 1-day Introduction to Web Services course. An understanding of key XML concepts can be gained from attending our 1-day Introduction to XML Technologies course.
